Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Legal: legal@poundmywife.com · Privacy: privacy@poundmywife.com · Abuse: abuse@poundmywife.com

This Privacy Policy explains how Pound My Wife ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you access the Service, submit a photo, request generation, make a purchase, or contact us.

Because the Service involves uploaded photos of identifiable people and may process face or likeness data for generation, moderation, and safety review, some of the information we process may be sensitive under privacy laws, including biometric or special-category data when applicable.

The Service is currently operated as a lean MVP. We are not offering a user-facing cloud archive or long-term media locker, and we aim to keep retained data limited to what is reasonably necessary for delivery, support, abuse handling, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and basic business records.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact data: email address and any information you send in support or abuse reports.
  • Upload data: photos, related metadata, file type, file size, and technical signals associated with uploads, including temporary operational copies created in transit, processing, moderation, caching, security, or delivery workflows.
  • Generated content data: rendered outputs, order state, and delivery information where applicable.
  • Consent and compliance data: age confirmations, content-policy acknowledgements, abuse-prevention signals, and records necessary to investigate fraud, chargebacks, disputes, and legal complaints.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, timestamps, page interactions, referral information, and analytics events.
  • Payment and transaction data: billing-related metadata, payment status, processor identifiers, and anti-fraud signals. We do not store full payment-card numbers.

2. Why we process your data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide the Service, including upload handling, rendering, delivery, and support.
  • Screen for safety, fraud, abuse, rights violations, and prohibited content.
  • Enforce our Terms, Content Policy, and age restrictions.
  • Process payments, manage disputes, and prevent chargebacks or misuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations, preserve evidence, and respond to lawful requests.
  • Measure service performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

3. Legal bases for processing

Depending on your jurisdiction, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you request, such as receiving an upload, processing an order, and delivering an output.
  • Legitimate interests — to protect our systems, prevent fraud or abuse, secure the Service, diagnose issues, and operate the business responsibly.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, law-enforcement requests, takedown duties, tax obligations, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Consent / explicit consent — where required, including for processing uploaded likeness and potentially biometric or special-category data for specified purposes disclosed at upload and in this Policy.

For users in the UK and EEA, where uploaded face or likeness information is processed in a way that qualifies as special-category or biometric data used to identify a person, explicit consent is intended to be one of the relevant Article 9 / UK GDPR conditions we rely on, together with any other lawful condition available under applicable law.

4. Sensitive, biometric, and likeness data

Uploaded images may contain face, body, and likeness information about identifiable people. We may process that information to review image suitability, perform safety checks, generate requested outputs, investigate abuse, and comply with legal duties.

By uploading an image, you represent that you are authorized to provide it for these purposes and, where applicable, you expressly consent to the processing of that image and related likeness information as described in this Policy. If you do not have the required rights or consent, do not upload the image.

5. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, complete the requested generation, support moderation and abuse review, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with law, and enforce our policies.

Different categories of data may be kept for different periods. For example, payment and dispute records may need to be retained longer than temporary operational copies. We may preserve information for longer where required by law, legal hold, safety review, or an ongoing complaint or investigation.

Uploaded source images may be retained for up to 90 days where reasonably necessary for trust and safety review, fraud prevention, abuse handling, chargeback response, moderation, or legal compliance, after which they may be deleted or further minimized unless a longer retention period is required for a specific legal, safety, or dispute-related reason.

As an MVP matter, we seek not to operate a permanent library of submitted media on our end. However, you understand and agree that temporary copies, processor-side handling, transmission logs, abuse-report emails, and other limited records may exist for a period of time even if we do not maintain a long-term end-user content repository.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We may share information with:

  • Hosting, storage, analytics, security, and infrastructure providers.
  • Payment processors and anti-fraud vendors.
  • Moderation, safety, and compliance service providers.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or acquirers where reasonably necessary.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, or courts when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of the term. If any US state law uses a broader definition of "sale" or "sharing", you may contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out right.

7. International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in multiple countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as contractual safeguards or other recognized transfer mechanisms.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, port, or withdraw consent relating to your personal data. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority or regulator.

To exercise privacy rights, contact privacy@poundmywife.com. To report non-consensual, intimate, exploitative, or suspected minor-related content, contact abuse@poundmywife.com. We may request information needed to verify the request and protect against fraud or abuse.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. You may not upload any image depicting a minor, anyone who may reasonably appear to be a minor, or anyone without the required legal consent. If we learn that data relating to a minor or prohibited content has been submitted, we may block the content, preserve evidence where appropriate, and take any steps we deem necessary to comply with law and protect affected persons.

10. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and analytics tools to operate the Service, remember user choices such as age-gate status, measure traffic, and monitor performance. Where required by law, we will seek consent before using non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. However, no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

Because this is an online service involving third-party infrastructure and communications, we cannot guarantee against interception, loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, and we are not liable for security incidents except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Site with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means the updated Policy applies to your future use.
